¹⁵ Makir took a wife from the Huppites and Shuppites. His sister was named Maacah. His second son was named Zelophehad. Zelophehad had only daughters. ¹⁶ Makir’s wife Maacah had a son whom she named Peresh. Peresh’s brother was named Sheresh. Sheresh’s sons were Ulam and Rakem.

¹⁷ Ulam’s son was Bedan.

These were the sons of Gilead. Gilead was Makir’s son. Makir was Manasseh’s son.
